New equipment: GPC/SEC

We’ve got new equipment in our lab! It’s a Shimadzu Nexera HPLC with an autosampler and a RID detector. Thanks to its combination with special columns filled with cross-linked polymer, this system works as a Size Exclusion Chromatograph (GPC/SEC). We’ll be using it to measure the molecular weights and dispersion indexes (Đ) of the polymers we synthesize.

The equipment purchase was made possible, in part, by the IDUB program operating at our university.
