II. Typical recruitment for PhD program by a Doctoral School

Prospective doctoral candidates have the opportunity to secure funding for a four-year period by submitting an application to the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences (Univeristy of Warsaw). If you plan to pursue this option, kindly inform us beforehand so that we can initiate project registration promptly.

PhD students enrolled in the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences are entitled to scholarships. These scholarships are structured as follows:

  • during the initial 2 years of study (prior to the mid-term evaluation), PhD students receive a net amount ca. PLN 3700
  • for the following 2 years after mid-term evaluation, the scholarship increases to a net amount ca. PLN 4700.

  1. molecular machines and porous materials – molecular switches and motors, photoresponsive materials (dr inż. W. Danowski)
  2. polymer chemistry – photo-RDPR, ATRP, photocatalysts (dr G. Szczepaniak);
  3. antioxidants – chemistry, physicochemical properties and synthesis of novel antioxidants (prof. G Litwinienko);
  4. catalysis – activation of small molecules, nanocatalysts (dr A. Krogul-Sobczak);
  5. nanotechnology – fullerens, metal fullerenes, graphen (prof. A. Kaim).
