IDUB scholarships for PhD students

Category: Prizes

On April 15, a ceremony for the awarding of IDUB scholarships took place in the Golden Hall of the Kazimierzowski Palace. The recipients were Simon Lukato, Wojciech Witkowski, and Michał Żebrowski.

The event gathered laureates, university authorities, doctoral school directors, members of the IDUB Coordination and Support Team, and the Vice-President of the UW PhD Students’ Union. The IDUB Scholarships, worth PLN 12,000 each, support the preparation of doctoral dissertations aligned with the Priority Research Areas (POB) of the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Programme. Launched in the 2022/2023 academic year, the competition evaluates applications based on the dissertation’s relevance to the POB and the applicant’s academic achievements. This third edition brings the total number of awarded PhD students to 357, with over PLN 4 million granted so far. The competitions are part of Action IV.4.1: “Comprehensive support programme for UW PhD students.”
