Dr Hanna Wilczura-Wachnik

Hanna was born in Warsaw in 1953. She has received her MSc (1977) degrees from the University of Warsaw. Later, in 1992, she defended her PhD thesis entitled: “The Enthalpy of Mixing in Associated Binary Systems of Pyridine and its Methyl Derivatives + n-Alkanes” under the supervision of prof. Teresa Kasprzycka- Guttman. For her postdoctoral research she moved to the prof. Alexander Van Hook group to investigate LLE equilibria in polymer solutions – in theory and experimentally. In the period 2000-2009 she was invited for short-term internships in Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby, Department of Chemistry, Syleyman Demirel University, Turkey, Isparta, Department of Physics and Chemistry Syddansk Universitet, Odense, Denmark. Since 2010 she has been involved in research on colloids, microemulsions, micellar phase and problem of interactions and transition of biologically active molecules between through membranes. Since 2010, she has been researching colloids, microemulsions, micellar phase, and phenomena occurring during the interfacial migration of biologically active molecules (e.g antioxidants) as well as interactions of these molecules with structures modelling natural membranes.
